In this building, rooms are designed rotated. Rooms are arranged like climbing step by step. On each step, trees are planted.Bridges are designed like stripes.
For one reason, it pairs the concept 'rotation', for another reason, it indicate an open atmosphere and not aggressive. The moving element, the wings and the controllable roof also have this meaning.

Mash-up

“Welcome to the new architecture school experience—casual, transparent and diverting.”

as a reflection of the current trend of openness and interaction, the building is meant for the student as much as the architecture. The connection between old and new not as fratricide, but as creating a “one-two punch” for UNSW’s landscape:
Although threr is an addition’s tendency to hide itself from view, it allows the building to feel “not vast and intimidating, but inviting and easy to navigate.”
This building puts technology — specifically interaction through mobile devices
extensive spatial additions to the school provide more opportunities for both local and international students to display their work.
More public entrances and public spaces serve to seamlessly integrate the school into the surrounding urban neighborhood
Taking into account the local climate and the nature of the building, this building has begun advocating for more flexible guidelines in order to be more environmentally friendly
A "forest" of sweet gum trees grows through openings in the concrete slabs of this building
The trees are integrated into the building's concrete foundation slab and distributed along three of its facades.

"The building itself was opened to the surrounding public space, by a direct link between the house and both the street and the communal cpace.

Theme:the multicultural students and staff who study or work at UNSW
In this model, I used two method to imply multiculture of UNSW.
The first is the concept. 'Intersecting planes and created sapces indicate different kinds of people in UNSW are united closely. 'Opposition of heavy and light' imply that different culture create creative things(buildings floating in the air).
The second mmethod is the use of stair. In this model, three different kinds of stairs are used to show the multiculture.

light
medium
dark

For the concept is'opposition of heavy and light', the dark texture is used for the 2 rooms floating in the air to show 'heavy', the light texture is used for stairs(which is the lightest element in the building) to form the comparison. The medium texture is used for floor.
